Ali Can Ergur is a dual-qualified attorney and specialist in the fields of contracts, AIFs, and corporate law. Ali Can Ergur's experience includes managing strategic and cross-border transactions across various industries.

Currently, Ergur is a member of the Istanbul Bar and the New York State Bar Association. In December 2021, Ergur will begin as Legal Advisor at the firm of Arendt & Medernach, one of the top law firms in Luxembourg.

Ali Can Ergur earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Law at Turkey’s Bilkent University, widely considered one of the top universities in the country. Following his graduation from Bilkent, Ergur relocated to Philadelphia, where he pursued his Master of Laws (LLM) degree at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He completed the Penn graduate program in 2014.

Ergur has also completed studies at Penn’s Wharton Business School, where he earned his Law & Business Program Certificate.

Now 31 years old, Ali Can Ergur has already accumulated more than eight years of experience in the legal profession, including successful tenures at several prominent firms.

Ergur's resume includes service as:

Senior Lawyer at YHAS (2020-2021). As in-house legal counsel for the Istanbul-based firm, Ergur enjoyed a number of responsibilities, including drafting and negotiating term sheets and purchase agreements, advising on banking and finance agreements, and managing and coordinating external counsels pertaining to the firm’s M&A and JV projects in more than eight jurisdictions around the world.

Legal Associate at Baker McKenzie (2015-2019). In the role of Legal Associate, Ali Can Ergur served as a member of the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure and Private Equity practice groups; prepared numerous reports, agreements, and documents; and advised global buyers and sellers throughout the sale of both private and public companies.

Trainee Lawyer at White & Case LLP (2012-2013). Ergur's initial experience as attorney covered a variety of responsibilities, including the preparation of due diligence reports, closing documents, resolutions, and numerous lawsuit and appeal petitions connected to more than 250 tax litigation cases.

Ali Can Ergur was born in Turkey in 1990. He lived in Canada as an exchange student between 2007 and 2008. In his free time, Ergur enjoys playing jazz guitar and building plastic scale models.
